POLICIES

  • NO REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS – When signing up for a session, remember that classes cannot be cancelled or rescheduled for any reason.  This includes, but is not limited to: family vacations, religious holidays, schedule changes in other activities, illness/injury of a family member, bad weather, parties, sporting events, etc.
  • Code of Conduct: All persons on School of Fish premises are required to conduct themselves appropriately.  This includes, but is not limited to, swim students in the pool, children outside the pool, and parents/guardians, whether in the pool, in the pool area, or in the locker rooms.  Children are not allowed in the pool prior to the start of class, and running, jumping, throwing, yelling, splashing, biting, hitting, and other disruptive behavior is not permitted.  Parents/Guardians are required to monitor their children and support this policy the entire time they are on school premises.  Students not following this code will be removed from the program and all fees paid will be forfeited.  There are no exceptions to this policy.
  • Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are limited to only ONE make-up per session.  Make-ups must be made up during the current session.  Make-ups cannot be carried over to the next session and cannot be rescheduled.  Missed make-ups will result in forfeiture of that make-up.  It is your responsibility to schedule your make-ups early in the session, before all possible make-up spots are filled.  Notifying us in advance of your absence aids us in finding make-up classes for others.
  • Students are enrolled into classes in a 3:1 ratio.  However, to accommodate make-ups, all classes with two instructors will usually have a seventh child in the class.
  • Injury/Illness-Prolonged illness or injury may entitle you to a school credit for remaining lessons.  School credits are only issued from the time of contact forward.  Absolutely no credit will be issued for weeks that have passed regardless of the reason.  Requests for a credit require a valid doctor’s note and are approved/issued at the sole discretion of the swim school director.   No credits or make-ups are given for illness/injury incurred by family members of the swim student(s).
  • Tuition cannot be extended to future sessions (cancellation of commitment).  Cancellations are not permitted for any reasons including: changes in your schedule, weather, students not liking their instructor, changing your mind, etc.
  • Children over the age of 5 are not permitted in opposite gender restrooms or locker rooms.  Changing rooms are provided for children over age 5 that need assistance by an opposite gender parent/guardian.
  • All students in Parent/Child, Silly Fish, and Sea Horse classes MUST wear an approved “swim diaper” (included with your tuition), regardless of whether they are toilet-trained or not.
  • Parents are not permitted to leave the building during their child’s lesson.  If you need to step away from the pool for any reason, the desk attendant must be notified.
